MEAN WELL NSP-2400 - 2400 W in a 55% smaller enclosure

More power in less space

As machines, medical equipment and automation systems become more powerful, designers increasingly need power supplies that deliver higher output without taking up more space. MEAN WELL addresses this requirement by extending the NSP family with the 2400 W NSP-2400 Series.

Compared with the earlier RSP-2400 Series, the new enclosure is 55% smaller. This makes it easier to develop compact equipment, upgrade existing installations and use control cabinet space more efficiently.

 

Ready for start-up and transient loads

The NSP-2400 can deliver up to 200% of its rated power for short periods. This reserve helps when starting motors and pumps, charging capacitive loads or supplying equipment whose brief demand is much higher than its normal operating consumption.

An 85-305 Vac input range, including operation at 277 Vac, allows a common platform to be used across installations with different mains standards. Built-in power factor correction (PFC) supports efficient use of power drawn from the grid.

 

Flexible configuration and digital communication

Built-in PV and PC functions allow output voltage to be programmed from 0% to 120% and output current from 0% to 100%. The power supply can therefore be matched to a machine profile, production process or test sequence.

Built-in CANBus and optional Modbus support enable communication with supervisory systems. This simplifies integration with industrial automation, measurement equipment and installations that require digital power control.

 

Reliability across multiple industries

The operating temperature range extends from -40 to +85°C, while 24-60 V models support full-load operation up to +60°C. A built-in fan runs below 46 dB and conformal coating adds durability. Protection functions cover short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature. The series also meets SEMI F47 and OVC III requirements and can operate at altitudes up to 5000 m.

Certifications cover ITE 62368-1, Medical 60601-1, Household 60335-1, Industrial 61558-1/61010-1 and Energy converter 62477-1. Leakage current below 500 µA, compliance with 2 × MOPP and suitability for BF-type medical applications extend the range of possible designs.

Target applications include industrial automation, semiconductor and medical equipment, laser processing systems, test and measurement equipment, communications infrastructure and renewable energy systems. MEAN WELL backs the NSP-2400 with a five-year warranty.
