About the manufacturer

Adesto Technologies was a US semiconductor company focused on low-power non-volatile memory and solutions for the Internet of Things and industrial automation. The brand became particularly well known for DataFlash memory designed for reliable data storage in embedded systems.

Adesto memories used serial interfaces, low pin counts and architectures intended to simplify data storage in microcontroller-based products. Typical uses include firmware, configuration data, event logs, measurement data and user-interface assets.

In 2020, Dialog Semiconductor announced the acquisition of Adesto, but now Dialog Semiconductor is a part of Renesas Electronics. The Adesto name nevertheless remains associated with many AT45/DataFlash devices still present in supply chains and existing electronic designs.

The Adesto range available from Maritex includes serial NOR Flash devices from the DataFlash family for embedded, automation, IoT and consumer applications. The devices are available in common SMD packages and communicate through SPI.

Available product groups include:

  • Serial NOR Flash memories.
  • DataFlash devices with SPI interface.
  • Memory capacities ranging from a few to several dozen megabits.
  • SMD memories suitable for industrial temperature ranges.

The portfolio includes devices such as AT45DB041E, AT45DB081E, AT45DB161E and AT45DB321E. Variants differ in capacity, memory organisation, supply voltage and maximum interface speed, reaching up to 85 MHz in selected models.
