About the manufacturer
Dialog Semiconductor was a UK-German semiconductor company focused on low-power analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Its technologies were widely used in mobile devices, consumer electronics, the Internet of Things, industrial equipment and automotive systems. The company became particularly well known for power management, Bluetooth Low Energy, LED control and configurable mixed-signal solutions.
In 2021 Dialog Semiconductor was acquired by Renesas Electronics and became part of the Renesas group. Technologies and product families previously developed under the Dialog name were integrated into a broader portfolio spanning microcontrollers, analog ICs, power devices and embedded solutions. For this reason, Dialog part numbers remain relevant in existing designs even though the business now operates within Renesas.
One of Dialog’s key strengths was low-power connected electronics. SmartBond families supported Bluetooth Low Energy applications, while iWatt/Dialog devices were used in power supplies and LED drivers. The company also developed battery management, charging, power conversion and wireless connectivity solutions.
