DIOTEC

Rectifier and Schottky diodes, TVS protection, transistors and MOSFETs

About the manufacturer

Diotec Semiconductor AG is a German manufacturer specializing in discrete semiconductor components. Founded in 1973 in Heitersheim, the company initially focused on diodes and rectifiers and later expanded into transistors, MOSFETs, protection devices and regulators.

Diotec operates manufacturing activities in Europe and Asia and performs selected semiconductor processes in its own facilities. In addition to standard components, the company supports customized semiconductor solutions involving chips, packages and lead configurations.

Diotec products are used in industrial, energy, mobility and consumer applications. The portfolio covers conventional silicon components as well as devices optimized for fast switching, surge protection and modern power electronics.

Applications

Diotec devices perform essential rectification, switching and protection functions in electronic circuits. Common applications include:

  • Power supplies and chargers – rectification and protection of input and output stages.
  • Switch-mode converters – fast and Schottky diodes with low forward voltage.
  • Industrial automation – transistors, diodes and protection components in I/O and actuator modules.
  • Surge protection – TVS diodes for supply rails and signal lines.
  • Automotive electronics – switching and protection devices for wide-temperature environments.
  • Consumer electronics – small-signal diodes and transistors in control and power circuits.

DIOTEC products available from Maritex

Maritex offers a broad range of Diotec discrete semiconductors for rectification, switching, protection and circuit control. Popular SMD packages are available for general electronics as well as more demanding power applications.

Available product groups include:

  • Switching diodes, including 1N4148 families.
  • Schottky diodes for low-voltage power and converter circuits.
  • Rectifier diodes for power supplies.
  • TVS diodes for transient overvoltage protection.
  • SMD bipolar transistors.
  • Discrete devices for power supplies, automation and industrial electronics.

Examples include 1N4148WS-DIO, BAT54WS, SKL36, 1.5SMCJ150CA and the MMBT3904-DIO transistor. The range therefore supports signal paths, rectification, protection and switching stages.

Key selection parameters include reverse voltage, forward current, power dissipation, switching time, package and operating temperature. For protection devices, stand-off voltage and surge-energy capability are also critical.
