EATON

Power management components, circuit protection and magnetic components

About the manufacturer

Eaton is a global technology company specializing in electrical and mechanical power management. Its activities span industrial systems, infrastructure, data centers, transportation, aerospace, power conversion and electrical distribution.

Eaton’s portfolio is broad, ranging from low- and medium-voltage equipment, backup power and automation to electronic components such as fuses, fuse holders, supercapacitors and magnetic components. The company develops solutions supporting electrification, energy efficiency and the digitalization of power systems.

In electronics, circuit-protection and magnetic components are particularly important. Power inductors are used in converters and filters, while fuses and fuse holders protect circuits against overload and short-circuit conditions.

Eaton designs products for applications where reliability, safety and stable operation across demanding environmental conditions are essential.

Applications

Eaton components are used in power and control equipment ranging from low-voltage electronics to large-scale energy infrastructure. Typical applications include:

Switch-mode power supplies – inductors and filtering components.
DC/DC converters – energy storage and current filtering.
Industrial automation – protection of control and power circuits.
Energy systems – electrical distribution and installation protection.
Automotive and e-mobility – circuit protection and power management.
Telecommunications – power systems for network infrastructure.
Industrial electronics – fuses, holders and magnetic components.

EATON products available from Maritex

Maritex offers Eaton components for circuit protection and power-supply design, with particularly strong representation in magnetic components and fuses.

Available product groups include:

SMD power inductors.
Miniature and subminiature fuses.
Fuse holders and clips.
Circuit-protection components for electronics.
Magnetic components for converters and filters.

Examples include DR74-4R7-R, DR74-331-R, DR124-100-R and HCM0703-8R2-R power inductors, the SR-5H-1A-AP fuse and the HTC-100M fuse holder. Individual series differ in inductance, current rating, RDC, package format and protection characteristics.

For magnetic components, selection should consider operating current, inductance, winding resistance and dimensions. For fuses, the key parameters are rated current and voltage, time-current characteristic and mounting method.
