COILS

Coils, chokes, transformers and magnetic components

About the manufacturer

COILS Electronic Co., Ltd. manufactures inductive and magnetic components used in power conversion, signal filtering and energy management circuits. Its portfolio includes coils, chokes, high-frequency transformers, toroidal components and SMD magnetic solutions.

The company supplies both compact PCB-mounted parts and components intended for switching power supplies, converters and filtering circuits. Depending on the series, COILS products can be selected by inductance, rated current, winding resistance, operating frequency and mechanical dimensions.

A relevant part of the company’s activity is the manufacture of magnetic components matched to application-specific requirements. Such parts are used where electrical and mechanical parameters have to be aligned with the design of a power supply, industrial controller or communication device.

Applications

COILS components are primarily used in circuits that require energy storage, interference filtering or voltage transformation. Typical applications include:

Switch-mode power supplies – chokes and transformers used in energy-conversion stages.
DC/DC converters – inductive components used in step-down and step-up converter topologies.
EMI filters – reduction of conducted interference in electronic equipment.
Industrial electronics – power and signal-conditioning circuits in controllers and automation modules.
Telecommunications – transformers and coils used in signal and power paths.
Consumer electronics – compact SMD coils for space-constrained devices.
RF and tuning circuits – coils used to shape the characteristics of resonant networks.

COILS products available from Maritex

Maritex offers COILS inductive components for electronic circuits that require accurately selected inductance and stable operating parameters. The range includes tuning coils intended for filtering and resonant circuits.

Available product groups include:

Tuning coils.
Inductive coils for PCB mounting.
Magnetic components for filtering circuits.
Components for resonant and signal circuits.

One example available from Maritex is the BKH7-877402 tuning coil with an inductance of 2.1 µH. Components of this type can be used in circuits requiring tuning or a defined frequency response.

When selecting a coil, key parameters include inductance, operating frequency, winding resistance, rated current and mounting method. For critical applications, component tolerance and temperature dependence should also be considered.
