RANDA

Chokes, inductors and passive components for electronics

About the manufacturer

RANDA is a passive-component brand whose range focuses primarily on inductors and chokes for through-hole and surface-mount assembly. These components are used in power and signal filtering, interference reduction and energy storage in electronic circuits. The brand’s offering is positioned around practical electrical performance and good value for money, making it relevant to both series production and individual engineering projects.

The Maritex catalogue includes wire-wound THT chokes from the PK and PKS families, SMD power inductors and compact SMD inductors for signal applications. Individual versions differ in inductance, current capability, winding resistance, dimensions and mounting technology. This enables designers to select components for voltage converters, filters, controllers and other electronic equipment.

Applications

RANDA inductors and chokes are used in circuits that require energy storage or specific inductive characteristics:

switch-mode power supplies and DC/DC converters
power-rail filtering and smoothing
interference filters and EMI-reduction circuits
industrial controllers and electronics
signal paths and communication equipment
compact electronic modules and IoT devices

RANDA products available from Maritex

The RANDA range available from Maritex centres on inductive components for power and signal applications. It includes small SMD inductors, wire-wound THT chokes and SMD power inductors. Different constructions and electrical ratings make it possible to match components to circuit requirements and available PCB space. RANDA provides a cost-effective choice for designers seeking a good balance between component quality, technical performance and price.

Main product groups include:

wire-wound THT chokes, including the PK and PKS series
SMD power inductors
miniature SMD inductors for signal circuits
inductive components for power filtering and interference reduction

When selecting an inductor or choke, compare inductance, rated current, DC resistance, tolerance, dimensions and mounting method. For high-frequency circuits, self-resonant frequency (SRF) and quality factor (Q) are also relevant. In power applications, designers should additionally check performance at the intended operating current, including saturation characteristics where these are specified in the selected component’s datasheet.
