Triacs
Triacs are semiconductor electronic components that allow control of alternating current (AC) flow in both directions. Due to their ability to conduct in both polarities, triacs are widely used in power regulation, lighting control, motor drivers, industrial automation, and heating systems.
How Do Triacs Work?
A triac operates like a bidirectional thyristor, conducting current in both the positive and negative cycles of AC voltage. It can be triggered by gate pulses, allowing precise current control and smooth load regulation.

✔ Gate trigger current (Igt) – the minimum current required to initiate conduction.
