ORing Industrial Networking

The certification was awarded based on the evaluation of ORing's IGMG-P83244GC+-D4G IoT gateway and confirms compliance with the cybersecurity requirements of the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), with a Verification of Conformity (VOC) also obtained.

The certification project was supported by CyberOTLab, which provided OT cybersecurity consulting services, while verification testing was conducted by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), with execution by ITRI's Center for Measurement Standards. TÜV SÜD subsequently issued the certification upon successful completion of the assessment process. The achievement demonstrates that ORing's industrial networking equipment meets internationally recognized cybersecurity standards and is well-suited for critical infrastructure and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.

IEC 62443-4-2 Certified Product Scope and Applicable Models

IEC 62443-4-2 is a product-level cybersecurity standard for industrial control systems (ICS). Security Level 2 (SL2) indicates that certified devices are capable of defending against attackers with moderate levels of skill and resources. Certified products must satisfy stringent requirements across multiple areas, including identification and authentication, access control, data protection, and system integrity, helping ensure secure operation in high-risk environments such as smart manufacturing, energy, and transportation.

The certification process combined CyberOTLab's OT cybersecurity consulting expertise with independent third-party verification and internationally recognized certification procedures. Through this comprehensive and standardized assessment process, ORing validated that its product cybersecurity design complies with IEC 62443-4-2 SL2 requirements. The certification framework also extends to a broad range of industrial networking products, including industrial intrusion prevention systems, mobile routers, and wireless access points (APs), demonstrating ORing's consistent cybersecurity architecture and secure product development practices across its portfolio.

Meeting the Requirements of the EU Cyber Resilience Act

In addition to IEC 62443-4-2 certification, ORing's products comply with the cybersecurity requirements of the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The CRA is a landmark regulation designed to improve cybersecurity for digital products throughout their lifecycle, requiring manufacturers to incorporate cybersecurity measures during product design and development to reduce supply chain and end-user risks. The issuance of a Verification of Conformity (VOC) further confirms that ORing's products are prepared to support regulatory compliance requirements for the European market.
