For many years, MEAN WELL’s 3–20 W DC-DC converter modules – single output series SCWN03 / SCWN06 / SCW08 / SCW12 / SCW20 and dual output series DCWN03 / DCWN06 / DCW08 / DCW12 – have been trusted solutions across the globe. With annual sales in the hundreds of thousands of units, they are widely adopted in power systems, instrumentation, telecom equipment, industrial automation, IoT devices and beyond.

Now, MEAN WELL proudly presents the next-generation DC-DC converters with an ultra-wide 8:1 input range:

• Single output: SCWN03W8 / SCWN06W8 / SCW08W8 / SCW12W8 / SCW20W8
• Dual output: DCWN03W8 / DCWN06W8 / DCW08W8 / DCW12W8 / DCW20W8

The new series supports a 9–75 VDC input range, covering traditional 12 VDC, 24 VDC and 48 VDC systems with just a single model. This eliminates the need for multiple input ranges (e.g., 9–18 VDC, 9–36 VDC, 36–72 VDC), making model selection easier, reducing inventory SKUs, and offering greater design flexibility.

To ensure a seamless migration from older models, the new generation retains Pin-to-Pin compatibility with the industry-standard DIP24 package, allowing for drop-in replacement without PCB redesign.
