Maritex, an authorized distributor of FIGARO Engineering products, announces an important update to its range of refrigerant gas sensors for R-32.
According to the manufacturer’s decision, the current model FCM2630-E00 will be discontinued. The final order deadline is September 30, 2025, with the last deliveries completed by December 31, 2025
Its successor, the FCM2630-J0A, has been developed to fully meet the requirements of the latest IEC60335-2-40 Edition 7 Annex LL as well as JRA4068:2023 standards.
These standards define safety criteria for air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment using mildly flammable A2L refrigerants such as R-32.
Key features of the new FCM2630-J0A sensor:
- Factory calibrated with built-in temperature compensation circuit,
- High resistance to interfering gases thanks to a built-in filter that minimizes the effect of alcohols and other substances,
- Compliance with IEC60335-2-40 Ed. 7 Annex LL and JRA4068:2023,
- Integrated monitoring, alarm, and malfunction outputs,
- Fast response time – within 30 seconds at 25% LFL (36,000 ppm R-32),
- Precise alarm threshold: 4000–6000 ppm R-32,
- Compact design: 25 × 34 × 16 mm, approx. 5 g,
- Low power consumption – approx. 0.3 W
With the introduction of the FCM2630-J0A, manufacturers of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems can easily ensure compliance with the latest safety standards while implementing a highly reliable R-32 leak detection solution.
